foxkidd44,
Rabies has been in your area (and everywhere else) before you were ever there.

Use standard precautions and common sense. You'll be ok.

See quite a few youngsters here taking the trapping courses every year and getting their licences,Of course trapping and bush life is a way of life here in the North and has always been that way.Young trappers get their licences and immediately get on the family traplines and their brothers or sisters have connections to get a line when a local retires-everyone knows each other and take care of each other like a big family-and really they are because in the small towns lots of families are connected.

Why not get out, Just do it!!! Use a walker or a cane. I was with a walker for a few weeks, then a cane. I was discharged after 2 months of PT, and the PT person told me to keep doing what I am doing and that I was where most people are after 6 months. If I were you keep walking, keep stretching and bending it. Trust me, I know it hurts, but its worth it. I can run up and down the stairs now and I am at almost 4 months. still lots of swelling and a lot of clicking in the knee, but I was told that is normal.

I remember the fist time I could actually sit on a toilet and bend the knee. LOL. Keep moving it all the time, As you can see from everyone's comments, its tough in the beginning. but you will get there.

Everything was sprayed white and cord attached. I think I have <35-cents per cap into them. Time wise, it was easier to buy. But if you have the time, making your own isn’t a bad way to spend an evening.

My buddy thinks the coon will chew the plastic ones to pieces. We’ll see. They certainly don’t chew the metal ones!

Let us know how the decoy cord holds up also. Do you put any scent on to of caps?

Heck, just getting them in or out of the lake requires a tractor trailer wide load escort on iffy roads.

I used to think big boats on the warrior back home were dumb but at least they can actually go somewhere if they decided to head downstream.

that is the equivalent to a Lake home on the water without the lake front property taxes . they aren't going anywhere but have waterfront any where they go and someone to do the maintenance on it at the marina.

I use tactacam. On demand photos, video. Works well except coyotes. You have to position it away from the set and so they work it not facing the cam if at all possible.

Probably more of a personal choice than anything but nevertheless, made me feel better.

That was one reason I thought maybe these would better serve as mink traps than cat traps.

I have a couple big patches of them. Very handy to have for spring cooking. I have them along with a patch of Chives at the camp also.
I can supply a handful of bulbs to a few here to get your patch started. It's best to break up the bulb clusters and hand plant to get a big patch fast.
The tops have 6 to 8 little pearl like bulbs.
