[quote=beaverpeeler]The point is your average was skewed because you only sold your higher value pelts. It's not a true average for others to look at.
The real point is everybody had all the information they needed, full disclosure,
to know what happened at the beaver wagon.
Nobody was trying to deceive anyone as
the good, the bad, & the ugly was still there for all to see.
I sold half of my larger green beaver for a $25.25 average &
will sell the green medium/small kits to someone else for more
than Gary was willing to pay, and then told you about it
No different than selling your #1 castor for $100.00 a pound,
holding back your shells to make lure, & committing your
number #2 to FHA purgatory !!! LOL
Or coon trapping & throwing the sows, kits, & dinks in the ditch
and only selling your 3XL, 4XL, & Jumbos at auction.
Happens all the time when wild fur products get marketed.
Please excuse me for striving to market my green fur
where I could realize the best value on it & then telling you about it.
Little wonder why very few trappers post their efforts & results
on how they market their fur for the benefit of others.
For my trapping reality & situation, Groeny still Rocks !!!

My trapping season is done so all I can do now is find new ways to irritate my fellow trapper! However, I was just responding to your asking what was the point of some of us bringing up what the average would have been had you been all in. (And the above was the point).
Glad you're happy with your transaction.
