Mouth calls are not impacted much by rain, turkeys will break cover when it’s wet rain or snow. It’s a good time to locate birds that have been quiet or playing hard to get. Open areas are your friend roads, trails or field edges become high traffic areas. Fly down is often delayed from minutes to hours don’t rush the process.
They might be harder to call but they seem to feed more when out in those open areas in bad weather like before any storm that’s coming. The nice thing about rain in moving through the woods quietly is easier. Down pours suck misting rain not great just try to stay dry if you want to wait them out.

When the rain stops, birds will gather in the open fields then lay down and sun themselves while preening their feathers. They will stay there for quite a while. So don't just look for standing birds. Look for dark patches in the green grass then you'll notice their heads. Get into position, be patient and only call when they stand up. Call lightly.

The leaves are wet, so you can spot and stock, through woods to field edges.
Help yourself.

Some states have shorter seasons compared to other states so if you’re looking at bad weather hit your shorter seasons first if you can do that.

Well the birds 25 or so miles south of you were moving today.
Did you get out?
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.
