Okay, I believe I need to change the CV joints in a 2008 Chevy Colorado. Boots aren't torn but when in 4 wheel I hear a clicking sound. When I back up and turn the steering get hard ridged.
So, do you think I have the right diagnoses for what I'm experiencing.
How hard is it to change the CV joints out?
Thank You.

Hold the wheel all the way to the left and drive slowly forward, do the same thing to the right, does it click when your doing that? If it only does it to the left you need a left one and likewise for the right. I will go out and try it later. Thank YOU for the info. How hard is it to replace them?

Thank you Guss & bearcat2 I really do appreciate your knowledge and sharing it. I plan to do the work myself in the next few weeks. I want to sell it so will fix or tell the interesting parties what is wrong and they can fix it.
Thank You all the help.
