Be thankful the value of the dollar is staying high relative to other currencies or the price of gas would get real sporty

Hopefully for only another 8 months…. If you don’t travel, or have to drive daily, it is probably not an issue for that singular person. But who thinks about just themselves, right? The point is, In some places, $5 a gallon would be a significant drop in price.

I understand that, wasn’t meant to be a shot at anyone. Just a general statement about the realities of daily life in America, or at least the vast majority of I guess. I’ve been to Alaska twice, bar none the most beautiful place on earth, but the cost of living there is considerable. Probably why it is still so pristine and not polluted with all the scum the rest of the nation is…. I will say that Anchorage seems to be filling up pretty quickly with the trash from my previous visit 20 years ago.

Oil production is dropping in the US and will continue to drop in the US through 2024, will not see 2023 output till 2025. Price is going up and will continue this summer till winter blend comes on line this fall. At that time the Pres. will claim his policies are working.

Oil production in the USA has not dropped. We're the number one oil producer in the world and we pumped more oil in 2023 than any country in history. 12.9 million barrels a day. So as unfriendly to the oil industry as Biden is hasn't slowed production.

So lets double the size of our gallon while keeping the price the same. Brilliant. I'm in!

It's down compared to last year on the increase per day but overall production is the highest it's ever been.

I live in the middle of the oil patch and it's business 24/7. The new pad to our southeast was started with snow on the ground. Two dozers spent a couple days pushing snow, then started ripping frozen ground so the scrapers could get to work.

Does the word GLOBAL mean anything to you? Oil prices aren't set by US presidents.

For oil producing countries, high prices are good.Probably means they can print more money.

Last thing the oil companies want to do is overproduce, like they did in 2014 when everybody got laid off. Nice talking points though.

The US uses proxies to blow up oil refineries and that's all fine and dandy. I spill a quart of oil in my driveway and I'm expected to call DEP.

Did they learn their lessons from the mink ranchers?
