Two requirements of being a mod are that you be charitable towards others and brutally handsome. These two things will help you represent the site as a welcoming and non-judgemental place to be. If that's the case, why haven't I been nominated? "Brutally handsome". You two hands talking about being considered to have been handsome prior to the brutal and tragic combine or wood chipper accident? I am asking respectfully because I fit that description, however I tend not to get along with others, and I would not be very helpful with screening out inappropriate language, as my hypocrisy only goes but so far. But apparently I do have the required "look". So I've got that going for me.

All kidding aside on this ...
These jobs are usually something that you are asked to do. Not that you ask to do them. Usually when these are offered it's a result of you being around, being helpful, volunteering for things, not be an idiot, and basically be a respected, and respectful, member of the community. Also need to have some technical skills. Every forum does things differently in how they're run for moderation so it's just not all clicking the right boxes. Can't screw up the site but you could cause some embarrassment or make some members mad if you hit the wrong ones.

If you've ever run a forum, being a mod or admin isnt all its cracked up to be. And I've run several, mostly gaming clans and a a few trapping forums and social media groups. Idk what's worse to mod sometimes , forums like this or gaming servers  the weaponized autism is a bit less here. The insults and what not are way tamer too There's plenty of insults..... Some of us keep it to inside jokes that very few know about. That reminds me, I haven't talked to 160user in few days.
