Hard to get most guys to get microphones close to their mouths. Best advice for most handheld mics is to eat the mic
I really wanted to go back to my truck, get my can on PB silicon spray and spray the crap out of that fan motor

Thanks for the beaver food lure Paul. ‘‘Twas my first NTA convention and I’m already looking forward to South Dakota. I asked these 2 jokers what they thought about Duke 850s cuz I saw them a really good deal….lol !!! DAM . . . that sure does look like Heimo from the "Last Alaskans" !!!

A great convention! Christine and I enjoyed visiting with friends and making some new ones. The Michigan trappers put on a great show. Missed couple of vendors Saturday morning that I wanted to see, but it saved me money lol.
Paul, it was great visiting with you again.

It was a great first NTA for me, I met Marty and his wife, and the last Alaskans. I learned some new stuff at a few of the demos, spent some money, bought some more traps, talked to a lot of the vendors, and put some faces to names. Thanks to all the vendors, volunteers, and the trappers that made it possible for me to attend a great first convention. I hope to see some of you guys in Sioux Falls next year at the 2024 NTA convention.

My wife and I had a great time! She was my driver everywhere we went (I recently had knee surgery and wasn't supposed to drive). Trapping conventions are not her cup of tea, but she got to meet some fantastic people this week. The U.P. Trappers association lead by Roy did an outstanding job of setting everything up and making sure it ran smooth. The "Trolleys" going back and forth was a blessing for me with my "gimp" and for those carrying bundles. Escanaba and the surrounding areas has so much to offer, that's one reason it's a great place for a convention.
Thank you all who worked so hard for so long to make this another successful convention!

Sorry, that wasn't me carrying a 660. This is probably the first convention where I never bought one trap. Lots of other stuff, but no traps.

Nice job to the Michigan crew for hosting the NTA from our perspective as tailgaters. Enjoyed the couple of demos I attended and finally had a chance to briefly visit with Heimo and Edna. Shared with him I'd shown parts of the film Braving Alaska since it came out in the early 90s to thousands of sophomores in my biology classes 'til I retired. Thank-you Michigan trappers for bringing them down here.
