Lovely shots. Tray. Grebes are here too, I think three different kinds. Red-Necked is one. They really raise a racket with each other in spring.
I can imagine what amazing close ups you'd take of loons. With their red eyes. We have 5 species of grebes here, red-necked are here sporadically and you are right they like to make noise. I photographed Westerns and Clark’s several weeks ago sitting on nests and hope to get back now that littles are out. Breeding plumage looks are on the bucket list.
