It is very easy to push a rod from chamber to muzzle on a 10/22.

There are powder solvents and copper removers. I'm not sure which of the two the one mentioned by the OP is. I'm a huge fan of using a copper remover on occasion. I have one rifle the I need to de-copper after only about 60 shots. The groups will start to spread rapidly if I don't.

That’s why I am interested, it is supposed to work on power and copper.

try any of the foaming bore cleaners, I use that or shooters choice or butch's. also if you use a bronze brush you will always have blue on your patches. its the ammonia reacting to the brush.
Outers foul out works well but keep the rod clean. Those who think ammonia is to aggressive just don't leave it soak over 5 minutes. wipe it dry then oil it afterwards, foul your barrel before checking zero.

Are you shooting copper bullets or something? I only tried the one I showed you.maybe there is still some copper in my barrels but accuracy the same. I don’t clean a .22 barrel much as most .22 has wax and oils on it going down the barrel.i just sprayed one of the chambers in a .22 with it. But that’s just for carbon. The stuff I showed is non toxic so thought you might like trying it. That butches bore shine I quit using as the strong smell got to me. I do use the butches gun oil though. Now that smells really good. Maybe I missed it but what exactly are you shooting you have so much copper build up?

I asked if anybody had tried the Thuroclean bore cleaner, I guess not. I wanted to get away from the ammonia if it works. I am talking center fire rifles, every bullet I ever shot was copper jacketed and leave deposits of copper in the bore.

I have seen M4 barrels that will not gauge within tolerance due to the shooter use of a Boresnake, (you have to figure in wear as well). That said if you don't mind replacing barrels go for it. Once in a while on a hunting rifle, no problem, I could live with that. Competition/Match grade or sniper grade rifles I wouldn't use except in an extreme circumstance. The biggest thing about weapons cleaning in my opinion is that it is a multiple day process. You should figure on cleaning it over the course of three days.
