Danny I had one of those. Cheap uncle Mike's hoster on my belt on left front side kind of apex . The hoster has an open bottom and when it broke in my rugger mark 2 barrel would stick out the bottom. It was fine untill I went to draw it to shoot a rabbit and the hooked front sight caught on the bottom of the hoster and wouldn't come out. I Jamed it back in and out several times not knowing what was going on and in a hurry to shoot tha rabbit before my dog got close and I had to wait for it to circle again. The in and out motion allowed the nylon retaining strap with snap to get into the trigger gard and since I was in the habit of turning off the safety as I drew the safety was off . The next push back sown and the trigger hit the strap and fired . In and out my left leg traveled through about 4.5 inches.

After the shot I thought it was just powder burn stoped to find the problem. Found it Drew the gun shot the rabbit then pulled my pants down to see how I was burned to find a small round hole and bigger oblong 1" x.33" exit hole. It didn't bleed much and I was not worried. Got my rabbit and recovered my dog . My cousin hunting with me flip out and made me go the the er. That was pointless but I went .

A few year ago my daughter tripped down the stairs going to shoot a coon in dp out in the garden and fell on that .22 and shot herself in the right shoulder(she is left handed) it wentstopeb under the skin on the back side of her shoulder blade . Hit a major artery and nerve cluster. She got a stint and she lost all use of her right arm. They thought she may be crippled for life but she made a full recovery. Got the bullet.cut out in a separate surgery becuse it was just under the skim and hurt when things touched it. Looked like a small rock under the skin. They were lazy leaving it in.

I am a grateful retired union worker of 35 years. A union is very beneficial for workers and their families. The problem i have with the union is the inability to fire shitty workers. The union gives shitty people too much power/protection. It pays/protects the employee that doesnt have good work ethic or are a pain in the (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) to all those around them which creates a toxic work environment!

My check for last week is a touch over $ 3,300. Take home of 2,200 +. Yes I have made more than that in a day trimming and removing trees working for myself. But other than that and Ironworking that was also Union I have never mad checks like that working non union. And that's not counting benefits. Yes that was a 76hr check but I can do that any week I choose up to 80 hrs. I'm at 56 for the week now and may work 72 or 76 again. Have not decided yet.
I can wright my check up to 80hr each week or I can work my schedule of 36hrs, 48, 36,48 12 hr shifts workingng 14 days out of 28 and getting two 3 day, off one 1 day of and 1 7 day of stretch each month. Doing that I will make around 65k or I can chose to work all the overtime and make 140k. Tha choice is mine.

I have never seen a non union job that pays like that.

Edit. I forgot I get 4 weeks vacation also. So if I want I can only work 5 months and make 65 k add in working 4 hr ove for a 16 hr shift and a few of my days off make in the 90s.

This is the only reason I work 127 miles away from home and so many 16hr days. Since I'm away from home I may as well work as much as I can.

Fumble, because you haven’t worked a non-union job for that kind of money, they don’t exist. lol

Unions are owned by the socialist democrats , they only back democrats and have since they first started .
I liked unions , until they became a socialist tool.
Have a worker linked to someone , they don't work just draw a pay check,.
Tell me unions aren't the same as corrupt democrats and rino's .
They get their backing by only the people they pay off !
Unions get more pay at the expense of the average worker that can't get into a union job , because they don't have the money to buy in or the tie to get in.
That's the top paying unions , the lower unions that get dues and don't do crap for the members are out numbering the top three unions, AUTO WORKERS, TEAMSTERS , AND LABOR UNIONS , the top three .
Labor unions cover Steelworkers , and almost every trade.
UAW covers many unions , that pay in , but don't get the same benefits as the auto workers.
Teamsters used to be just truck drivers. now they cover anyone that wants to be union.
Trouble is the lower unions are a scam period.
The end results is only the top gets the benefits and the money while the rest ( unless you're family or a close friend) get little to no help or benefits , and way less cash in your pockets.
Think socialist , everyone gets paid even if you don't produce !

Good discussion. My entire family, aside from myself, have worked for unions their entire careers, both federal and provincial. Our observations have been that the # of under-achievers that are protected by these unions is unbelievable. The unions protect individuals with low drive, poor work ethics, abuse of the system, atrocious customer service and overall sub-par attitudes. A small example of this is that in the past month the federal union out of Ontario, that my wife (Saskatchewan) belongs to just threw a media fit, due to the fact that the employees were being subjected to back to work legislation for 2 days a week. Turns out none of these employees have been back in the office for almost 2 years. My wife and some of her collegues, have been going into the office 2-3 days a week through virtually the entire Covid ordeal, and didn't batt an eye. The abuse of sick leave is embarassing. The process to fire habitual problematic employees is mind boggling. Its gonna get way worse.
I'm the only family member that slugged it out in the private sector. No protection from the mobsters, had to work my arse off and retired June 14 2019 at age 48!

For the last year Local 5 Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen PA has been offering a bounty to any member who can sign anybody up. No experience necessary. Will train. So it is no longer true that you have to know somebody. Or buy your way in. Gave multiple people the info. But no body follows thru.

Same creeps that love your open southern border.

That would be the Democrat politicians, that love the open border, that the unions support. I don't see how you are connecting the dots correctly. Unions can and do force companies to shift a work force, they sometimes have to so they can survive in business.

This thread should be called the cat thread, it has 9 lives lol. Boco, as usual outside of trapping, your all wet. Clinton signed NAFTA and the unions backed him, cutting yet again the American workers throat.

Our unions in upper michigan are looking for people.
Most of the younger kids don't feel like working that hard.
Good money to be made if you want to work.

Never understood why Unions always back democrats .
Democrats have always been against the working people, just claim that they're for the worker , and that's all voters hear.
Same with all the accusations , while all are proven untrue , the voter only remembers the accusation.
Prime example is what Catch22 posted about !
Clinton signed NAFTA and the unions backed him, cutting yet again the American workers throat.

Yea, good for those leaching off us, and why they whined when Trump ended it and made it fair trade.
