Let private businesses be private. Government has for too long "stepped in" to solve issues that the private sector could better sort out. That's fine if we abolish the civil rights laws.

Private businesses should be able to conduct business however they choose.
I wouldn't care if they went back to separate water fountains. Like Warrior said, the free market has a remedy for most things.
Whining about discrimination is weak. Maybe weak but awful effective. Trevon , Micheal, and George shows us that.

I thought christians were upset they couldnt discriminate? I think its funny. I guess they can go to court and get a judgement that will allow them to eat there. Or they can say a business has a right to choose customers which was their position when a baker refused to make a cake for a gay couple. I am on the side of refusing service to anybody you want. It is after all a PRIVATE business.
Everyone thinks they ought to tell others how to live. I am tired of it It’s not the cake baking, it’s what they wanted on the cake. I can order a glass of wine but not demand that it be thrown in somebody’s face. Big difference than denying service.

Seems unbelievers only signs may be in demand like the whites only signs of the past.

BC I could give a flip about elections. Politicians of both stripes are more full of crap than a Christmas turkey. Culture war is the real fight.

I’d give a crackhead $40 to burn the place down. Straight out of Matthew 5, right? "You have heard it said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, burn your enemy's business to the ground." Honestly, the thing that constantly boggles my mind in these conversations is how much stuff passes as "Christian" when it is diametrically opposed to the way of Jesus. Too many of us worship right-wing politics instead of the King. Not trying to pick fights. I just want to be realistic here. Some of us (I'll include myself here. I know I have my own problems) need to evaluate where are loyalties actually lie.

Too late you just picked a fight with a lot of people lol. I see where this post is a out to go Dang! And I made a typo to boot! Well, if I've derailed the conversation, then I'll accept the blame and the necessary discipline. I may even find a way to "consider it pure joy!"

Some Christian places don't wanna serve gays and who ever
I'm calling BS on that! And don't pull out some weirdo fringe anomaly and hold that out as an example of any real percentage of organizations lead by Christians.
What from Christ that soul can sever, Bound by everlasting bands? None shall take thee From the Strength of Israel's hands.

Aren't we supposed to expect persecution as Christians?
Yes and be proud of it. This really is more a discrimination case. I titled it persecution so that people may actually read the story. A bit of deception in the title but I blame the trapper in me for picking such a lure.

I know I have been guilty. I got an article 15 for persecuting Christians and drinking wine in the barracks. Two weeks extra duty got my mind right.
Who is John Galt?

Would the people booking the event do it as a in your face thing? Had they know the business owner felt that way. Would they still have booked there. Who knows?? Biggest problem I see right now. Is loud mouths both far left and far right. Been given to much voice. To many reasonable people just throw their hands in air walk away. Can't really reason with either group when all they want is to be Right. Mac
