Very pleased with the customer service at vortex. My objective lense cover on one of my binoculars broke off. I called vortex Wednesday morning to order a pair of new ones. The gentleman took my mailing information, I asked how much for them and shipping he said no charge life time guarantee. And he even threw in a free hat. Received package Saturday morning 7:30 . Now you can't beat that for customer service.

They really have the best customer service in the game. If you go get your most expensive rifle scope and take a pistol and shoot it off of your rail then stomp on it they will fully replace the entire thing.
That's pretty much all I buy. Have 4-5 of their scopes

I haven't found the extent of the warranty yet , only sent in 1 item it was a Red dot with electronics issues they sent me a knew one.

my son was looking at binoculars right before deer camp , we are at fleet and the price difference between brands was 20 dollars after rebate , I also thought the vortex had better glass but he was thinking back and forth

I said , your at vortex nearly every month for a match , you buy the vortex and your solid for at least 10 years

I had used that same model at a match over the summer last year and could see decently well at 400 yards where his rounds where hitting in the dirt below the target.

he got to the truck and opened his new box of binos and he said oh I didn't even realize they came with the chest rig , that is worth 20 alone and I said it was better glass , I could read boxes across fleet I could not read with the other brand.

so better warranty , nice accessories , good to go

The problem with vortex is you have to use their warranty. I've never had to use leupold warranty.

I've never had to send in anything to Vortex but it's nice to know if you need to they are good about it.

Only had 2 Leupold scopes ever but had to have one of them replaced. I have at least 6 Vortex scopes and a pair of binos. I still like Leupold though, they are good too.

Price point, I think you get better glass with Leupold, $ for $. JMO, I have the Leupold SX5 Santiam 27x55x80 Spotter and I'll put that glass against other brands that cost twice as much! Again this is JMO! Leupold's warranty and customer service is as good or better then any out there. I say buy the best glass you can afford, Pay once , cry once !

I've got vortex binos and spotting scope and quite a few leupold rifle scopes. I've never used or needed the warranty on neither of them. I hear of lots of vortex warranty stories which have been very good but my thoughts are if the product itself was any good a guy wouldn't have to use the warranty.

I have, and have had, both. My personal opinion is, Vortex has a great product, great warrantee, at a great price.

Just doing what I want now.

Amen to that. Good thing Vortex has a good warranty and CS because I had to use it 3 times in 3 years. Vortex makes a decent product at some price points and they have a huge following, but I’ll stick to Leupold. I’ve owned Leupolds for 30 years plus with no failures or warranty claims on rifles up to 50 BMG. That’s not to say eventually I won’t get a bad one.

I‘ve owned 2 Vortex and I’m batting 50% on failures. I’ll keep my remaining Vortex Viper on my 223 so it should survive for awhile.

Lucky!

I had to use leupolds warranty, just once.

And it was an experience that lasted a good six months.

There’s no more leupold products in my house.

I have a lot of vortex stuff. A lot.

Use some of it daily, year round. Haven’t had to use their warranty yet but if I ever do, I have no doubt I’ll be taken care of quickly.

I always go for the best quality at a price point. That trumps brand loyalty for me. But, when it comes to optics these days that means I’m going to vortex a lot.
