I have no experience with the little ZAREBA chargers only the 15 j ones and have good luck . We have had to replace the lightning box a few times . Ones atleast 15 years old and another is about ten . The third is new all will max out my 7000v tester . There are no steel post in the new fences im building and replace steel post in the existing fence when i have to maintain them . It will be a fine day when i no longer have any steel post in my electric fence What are you changing to instead of steel posts? Take a picture of your fence so we can see...if you could

I can buy 36'long 1.25" fiberglass sucker rods for $13 apiece each one will make 9 4 footers or 7 5 footer or 6 6footers . They cut very easy with a chop saw and drill very easy with a 1/8" drill bit . They are way more rigid than a steel T post allowing bends in the fence . I can build a half mile of high tensile 28" high using 44 4' post for $63.50 post cost no insulators necessary . Then if I add sheep and goats later it will only cost the wire and time to drill holes for tie wires to add two more strands . I have several hundred installed on two and three wire fence ,many for almost two years without one single deer knock down . The first place I used them was on a stretch of fence that we replaced insulators on daily because of deer . Imagine how easy an electric fence would be to maintain if there were no steel T post for it to ground out on and no insulators to break . Where are you getting your sucker rods?
Ill keep my guns money and freedom you keep the CHANGE!!!!!!

All of ours comes out of surpluss yards in Oklahoma ,Texas and Kansas. There are quite a few guys around here that ship it in here and build custom Corrales out of stem pipe and steel sucker rod . The amish and Mennonite carry alot of that stuff check these guys out https://timelessfencesystem.com/
