I'm think'in your miss'in some zeros there?
Population is around 350,000,000 X 1000 would be $350,000,000,000
Or did I screw it up?

Close , better math.

Current USA population 331 million
Numbers tossed out there , $1000 per adult , $500 per child.
POTUS talking about a $200 billion package
Current national debt $23.3 Trillion

I am willing to be corrected if my numbers are off.

Also how many trillion did obama spend ? Hmmmmmm.........

I'm no genious either. I've never needed to work with more than three zeros so......
I think three zeros added to 331 million is more than 200 billion though. Just guessin'.

Three zeros added to 331 million is more than 200 billion , correct.
$1000 per adult , $500 per child doesn't add up to 331 billion. Plus , people that are very rich are probably not eligible, maybe some guy that just crossed the border in the last year isn't going to be eligible too , because the government doesn't know he is here or where to find him. I doubt convicts are going to be eligible.

If you filed a tax return in 2019. You are eligible for a stimulus check. Jessie Venture did this in MN when he was gov. Tax money given back to the tax payer. Beautiful concept.

Still might not help I don’t think I am making gas money now. LOL

This is when it helps to not target coon. I spent most of my energy ,and money, on coyotes. only caught about 40 coon. If this happens I'll call it my coon subsidy or my trap set-aside ether one will work. Thats 25$ a coon not counting my meat market laugh

Whatever happened to an emergency fund..? Sorry, no reason not to have 3-6 months of living expenses set aside for an emergency. If you dont, likely Finster is right, too many bad choices on what is being spent and borrowed on or you have a crappy job...get a different one. I know there is always an exception to the rule, but for people to be scraping the bottom of the barrel only a week or two into this is just plain foolishness. Ive read in the past that Americans were lousy savers, just takes a situation like this to verify it...

Hey, this is just like the checks we Alaskans get every year, but not just a lousy grand. lol But wait, ours is interest money off oil money that's never touched, so it works.

What Trump could do is use the tariff money china is paying and that would not be taxpayer money then. Win, Win.

We got stimulus checks back in the credit crisis era also. Not a new concept but an interesting one if folks are not working. Get money in hands to pay Bill's, get money circulating again, that sort of thing. Consumer drives a lot of our economy.
My boys went to scheels to buy some ammo just to shoot and pass time a little now that baseball is shut down for a bit. Ammo shelves were nearly empty and the price per box had skyrocketed. They got last two boxes of 7.62x39 and paid a lot of $ to get those. Even simple 20 gauge shells were high I thought.
Looks like it did after 911 all over. Sheesh.

I must be missing the news report that says we're getting 1000$.

They are pushing for a stimulus package, but it's not a done deal is what I'm reading.
