I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

My friend, Don, shot this wild boar on his farm near Vincent, Ohio in Washington County.

Don and the boys...really good men...great guys to have on your side when horseback, in the arena or out...

As you mentioned Tennessee. I have heard that the Chuck Swan state Forrest holds a number of them.

Let's go Brandon

Thanks Scuba, and if there are any Tennessee brethren out there that could chime in, I'd appreciate it!

I find one thing really funny about hog hunts. You here how much damage and how fast they reproduce plus how they need killing. But then if you try to go on a hunt it cost you a fortune... Must not want rid of them very bad is all I can say..........
You want me to pay you to get rid of a critter that is destroying your land and your crops ..... Not today or tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bet they won't turn their back to subsidy monies. Either let some people hunt or stop taking taxpayer money. That seems fair to me.

Are there no hogs in Kentucky? I just assumed there would be.

Just happy to be here.

Depends on who is paying the taxes. Just because you pay taxes. Doesnt mean you have a right to the farmers land. Subsidy or not , would you want just ANYONE to be own your land?? Farmers and ranchers get help from many state and federal trapping programs. For this should they be forced to let just anyone hunt? That doesnt seam right. Would you like to be forced to have someone on your land? Always 2 sides to every story.

hunted them in 4 states and best I can say is anywhere but Texas lots of hogs but no permission except if your paying. Very little public land except the Davy Crockett and Sabine. Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee welcome hunters for the most part.

I have seen a sounder of wild boar with babies, twice now, on the North and South sides of Ohio State Route 29, close to Zimmerman, within less than a mile of where I first saw the damage. I counted 11 and a few days later 14.

The hunters on my friend James's farm having been getting more pictures of a solitary boar and he has rooting damage in his rear hay field.

Georgia is nothing like Florida when it comes to hogs. We know what kind of damage they do and they can be hunted day or night 365 days a year, even over bait.
Most public land is open to hogs when other seasons are in and they had special hogs hunts this year after turkey season as well. I quit taking my TSS to the WMA’s because I ended up shooting pigs instead of turkeys! We want them gone!
