I'm in a discussion with a couple of guys on FB. Several people seem to think this is a red fox. I have a little experience trapping both reds and grays, and I don't see any indication this is a red fox. What say you?

red i see no indication it's a grey.

We have very few reds here. I have never seen one with any silver or grey coloring on its back like that.

We have very few reds here. I have never seen one with any silver or grey coloring on its back like that. Yes, reds get silvery in the back like that. Usually not a good thing as far as grading goes.

Looks like a red to me, even in a night time pic. And I have ZERO experience with greys.
When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.
