Crappie are maken nest and in about 6in to a foot of water here. Most sticks and logs close to bank have crappie under them. I talked to a old man yesterday and I ask how many he has caught in the last week, he just smiled and said I don't count. I figure he has caught over a 100 easy.

Leaving Friday to fish Sardis, Enid and Grenada in Mississippi my favorite trip of the year. Love spider rigging these lakes.

I was Canoeing The Back Channel South End Of Sandy Pond Against The Sand Dunes Today periodically Breaking Ice When I Came Upon A School Of Crappie That Would Boggle The Mind Of Most Crappie Enthusiasts.

There Had To Be A School Of Several Thousand packed in A stretch Of water Less Than 20 Yards Long.

I Wear Polarized Sunglasses To Help Spot Dens, Runs, Etc. and I Was Shocked At The Numbers Of Fish Pasing Beneath The Canoe In Less Than Four Feet Of Water.

I'd have been more excited If I Fished Crappie But I Don't. LOL
