Long haired fur to NAFA, short hair to FHA . I cant tell you folks why I do it this way. I may just be divinely inspired .

Kansas Rook - you say you quadrupled your money by switching from your local buyer to NAFA. You say your local buyer is a good guy. How can he be a good guy if he is making that much money off your fur. Assuming of course he sells at NAFA, which every one knows that is where all country dealers sell.
What you aren't factoring in are market changes. Take muskrats - the market changes over time. One year you could sell in the county for a $3.00 average. The next year you sell at NAFA for a $6.00 average. Which is doubling your money. BUT do you know what your rats would have averaged in the country the year you sold to NAFA? I thought you were going to go and make some popcorn?

Yes actually I had fur in front of him, turned down the offer and sold to NAFA that year. No he doesn’t sell to NAFA he sells to private buyers. Yes, I said he is a good guy and I believe that to be true. He simply doesn’t value finished fur at a much greater click than carcas fur. Ultimately, he was buying with his money and he has a right to offer whatever he wants. That isn’t really an indication of character in my mind. So back to the original question Wis, why is NAFA better or worse?
