I would. But Hollywood wouldn't allow it. They don't like real men.

Both true grits are in two different classes. They're both good, but different.
How in same hill could you remake rooster cogburn? Who can hold a candle to Katherine Hepburn in that remake?
Been racking my brain for a replacement actress and all i can come up with is Helen Mirren, and thats a long shot.

Side note: i'd like to see a colorized version of Big Jim McLean(cracks me up cuz James Arness is taller than Wayne, lol)

I guess you could remake the War Wagon

The young lady in the movie really made it for me. She had me cracking up most of the way through it. Kind of hope my daughters have her grit.

I watched the remake of True Grit just this evening...

I enjoyed it as much as the original.

And I have to say the scenery in the remake came closer to matching SE Oklahoma than it did in the original.

Yeah, but the scenery in the original was better.

No, but I would watch it, then complain, lol.

Tweed, one of the best scenes in the movie was her hagling with Colonel Stonehill over the horses and saddle.

Not for a movie that takes place in Choctaw territory.

Yeah, lawyers and doctors will probably soon be replaced by holographic AIs as depicted in "Star Trek: Voyager."
