But wait, It's a "miniature spring jump hunting trap!" You know how rare those are?

I missed that, I guess I was so excited to see how much money I was going to make, I just missed that part. Maybe "miniature spring jump hunting trap" is printed on the pan and that is where the value is.

Did any of you happen to notice that the pan is solid - no "V" cut out. And look at the pan attachment.

That is an older Victor. Probably 100 years old. And given that the pan is fairly readable, that price might not be too far out of line.

Sorry to rain on every one's parade - but that isn't your run of the mill modern day Victor.

Ok. I guess I missed the thousand dollar price. When I clicked on the link above, the price I saw was $20,00. That is what I was wondering what all the excitement was about. Sorry.

The original price when I posted the link was a $1,000.00, but you are right Nancy, it now has been changed to $20.00, which is not out of line for it.
My apologies

You ever wonder what some people are thinking?

I was on ebay and some nut case is tiring to sell some traps. All rust buckets, you can't even read the pans. Most are smaller #1 ls and jumps, a 1.5 coil, etc.

And they can be yours for, are you ready for this, $129.99...... EACH!

Used gun cases. 1 for $129.99 and 1 for $149.99.

This person has lost it!! They probably wonder why no one bids on them.

Brad

Looks like the original ($1000) trap that was lowered to $20 sold.

I had an OLD Eskimo ''brainer'' trap, made of a hallowed mammoth leg bone, a pice of whale rib and an ivory trigger set up. and basicly a spiked clup that flipped/smashed under sinew tension. basicly a 'wind up' sort that had a string release when the bait tied to it was pulled.
Was offerd 200$, but it was too cool to sell.

Besides, my idea of ''Rich' is to have my needs met, food shelter, clothing, the rest is optional laugh

Once a month or so I check Craigslist for traps.....everything on there locally is some daughter or granddaughter thinking some rusty traps are gold.

The best price I've found was an estate sale with busted traps for $10 each.
