Yes, it's one piece. The victor was on my list too, I was hoping that's what it was. Some the traps in this lot were powder coated, I hope this one isn't. I don't plan to sell it but what is the value?

It's a Victoria made by P.S. & W, one clue is the flat end on the short end of the cross piece on the base, the other clue is if you look real close you can see the I and A at the end of VICTOR, also the pan and pan shank are a two piece rivited together, not cast in one piece, if you look real close at the bottom of the pan, you can see some of the letters that make up P.S. & W CO. In my humble opinion of course!

I see it in the light now. It does say Victoria. What can you tell me about it? When and where was it made? Is there any value in this condition? It looks like I won't be putting it back in a weasel box! Lol. Apparently a good find in a bin of junky traps.

The Victoria was made by PS & W around 1912 and only for a very short time, so there weren't alot of them made, they were made in sizes 0,1 and 1 1/2 and were made on the Hector frame as was the Good Luck traps with the swastika punched through the pan, like the V in the Victors. The Vitoria traps are hard to come by and in excellent condition are even harder to find, the pan lettering was stamped very lightly, like most of the Hector framed traps, so most of them won't read real well. Value wise is based on condition and yours will not grade on the higher end of the scale, please don't take offense by that last statement, it is not meant that way, the condition is what it is, so it's hard to put a price on it. Most collectors want a trap that is all readable, but there are also those collectors that are not as fussy, as long as the trap is complete, especially if it is a rare trap, a nice one should be worth from $100.00 on up to $200.00, but remember that is my opinion, the PS & W traps don't seem to have the value of some of the other brands, again that's my opinion.

No offense taken. I stated earlier they were rough and I appreciate the history lesson. I'm mostly interested in the value because I bought the traps for my son so it's his and I am going to have to buy it from him. I think if I clean the thick wax off and scrub a bit, most of the pan will be readable. Unfortunately, pitting doesn't clean up though.
