Got lucky last night. Ok, well sort of. wink

Last fall, I didn't put the canoe up like I should have. Left it in the yard.

Last night, the motion sensor light in the back yard goes off about 11:00 and I look out to find a cow standing on the snow covered canoe. Great.

Looked at the canoe this morning and no damage. Sweet.

We have lots of burbot in many of our BC lakes, sometimes called ling cod after it's sea water cousin. What I do is hang them up by the head. cut around it with a sharp knife, then catch the skin with a pair pliers and pull it down towards the tail. Strips off very easily. Then I remove each side fillet and the belly. The side fillets are great because they lack the pin bones found in other fish.

Cut in chunks, dip in your favorite batter, then fry or deep fry. One of the best eating fresh water fish.

Pulled the last three cats of the season yesterday. Started to catch a lot of kittens the last week and a half. Hope that is a sign of a healthy pop. and at least another year or two before a crash here.

Got lucky here with the sibling in a snare behind the tree and mom got a pass.

Picked up this big ol tom on a post set.

Also found this little gem for $500

Manual says 93, the serial # is 92. I don't think it was ever ridden much at all. It has been sitting for the last 10 or so years under a shed roof.

Nice catches there nooksack. smile

Very nice find on the Tundra. I would squirt a little oil in the cylinder, pull over slowly and let sit a bit before starting. I did that with two 86 models I had that were stored for 5 years. One started first pull and the other on the third pull. Depending how they were put away the carb may need to be cleaned. Easy to take off and do that if required.

Viking, yes either a 14 or a 4 I have a few of both I use for cats.

Thanks Takotna, I prefer the ride of the tundra over the bravo although I doubt there is much difference. The bravo hitches are the best however.

Thanks Bob, kind of ridiculous the trouble I go to sometimes to try and get a good shot, but it is fun to look through the photos and remember all the places years down the road.

Ron that is what I did and also drained the gas tank and sucked out all the 2 cycle oil. Started on the third pull.

Does anyone know if there are after market carbides made to replace the stock wear bars?

Nice and clean under the cowling.

Nooksack, that sled is nice and clean, but it looks tiny. Is it for your wife? Maybe it' just the pic or you've shrunk some since I saw you last, but I cant see you cruising around on that thing. LOL

That is what I thought too Kusko after I washed off the dirt and lichen growing on it from sitting so long.

MP, The wife's machine is the 550 Trail in the pic. I sold my 550 summit and traded up to an 800 summit for the water skipping and overflow days and the tundra is the daily driver now. That thing fits me like a glove.... a child's glove =) The riding is a little hard on my back but getting it unstuck us much easier on my back and the mileage is great. I get places I never dreamed of on other sleds.
