This is my own recipe. They turn out just a little spicy, (not burn yer face off hot).

I usually double this and make about 4 dozen at a time

TAPPEL’S SPICY PICKLED EGGS

1-2 dozen hard boiled eggs

4 cups white vinegar
1/8 cup vegetable oil
1 jar sliced jalapenos (12-15 oz.)
1 onion chopped or sliced or you can use a jar of cocktail onions
(Sliced onions really soak up the heat)
3 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp. hot sauce
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. crushed red pepper
1 tbsp. minced garlic
2 tbsp. mustard seeds

Bring all ingredients to a boil, boil for 5 minutes. Pour over eggs in glass jar. Seal and store in refrigerator for 7 days.

CJ I'll PM you my addy tomorrow. I'm beat tonite and headed for the sack. Just Got done with pouring a 9 yard slick finish on a buddy's new shed after work. I can't take this manual labor crap anymore.

They might look "gross" Warcraft, but I'll bet they go down real good, especially with some of that "package" to the left of them. The "stink" the wife probably don't like is the result of eating them and drinking the beer, not the cooking, ROFL. \:D

This is the first I've ever seen of Vegetable oil for pickled eggs. Whats that do for the flavor? I'm going to try it, just going to add pickled habaneros instead of jalapenos. Like the heat. Thanks for the recipe.

I made some last week and got way too much vinegar. Pretty sour. I've never put peppers in but I will next time. I also add the juice from a couple of cans of pickled beets. I'll have to write this recipe down.

ShortHair,

I've done the habeneros......they are good. I'm going to plant some next year just for that reason. And you can do without the veg oil if you dont care for it.
