how long do they need to be on the stretcher? 5 days in a dry 55-60 degrees with a fan blowing on them good enough?

until it is dry as newspaper and crinkles

i was wonderin the same thing an also once theyve stretched and dried do you turn them so the fur is on the outside..i dont know what to do with it once its dried

No raccoons you do not turn the fur will be in the enitire time!

With coon don't turn,they check the fur thru the window at the rear legs.

Coons get boarded fur in and stay that way. You do not turn coons, at least from my experience. If I have my coons on boards and the temp is 65 degrees I find a week is sufficient for say an average 2xxl-3xxl type heavy or semi heavy coon. I usually feel the tail and the tail head area right at the base of the tail. That is about the last area I find that dries. If that is still pliable or soft you may want to leave the pelt on till that dries. From past experience when I use wire the pelts dried a day or so faster for me.

Google NAFA or FHA they will have links that can tell you which pelts are finished fur out.

so after they dry do u take them off the stretcher an freeze them or what..i know these might be dumb questions but i have no clue when it comes to this part of it
