ok on rendering down skunk fat does it need to be sunrendered of can it be rendered using a slow cooker ?? this would be for selling as lure bases

Ohbuyer it has almost no smell at all. Rags it doesn't even have to be in the sun. I just let the oil come off in my fur shed. It's heated but never really very warm in there in the winter. The oil still comes off.

Not a big market at all for skunk oil. By itself it doesn't have much attraction to predators IMO. It doesn't get real thick though in cold weather. Makes a good patch grease and traditional lube for springs and stuff for muzzle loaders shooting patched balls. It takes the place of oil in the barrel also if you want to shoot in the old way. It is a good solvent for some stuff when your making lure.
