Your ace hardware has them in a catalog and can order them.

Those lil ratchet gizmos they use
on electric fences should work.
Tractor supply and Southern States
has them around here.

I found them in the section with cup-hooks Home Depot. I had been looking but could not find any and my wife wanted some cup hooks, thats when I found them.

Every home depot I have ever been to has them. The people working there have no clue what they are. LOL.. I have always found them in the cable aisle where they have cable, chain, ferrels and what not. Not particulary an easy find the first time. I think they are about 5.00 each.........

Oh, I think Home Depot's brand is in a black package with green writing on it.

I can get some for you guys but the cost+shipping is on you guys.

I had to scour them out by myself also since no one at home depot had a clue. I found them opposite of the cable on the same isle.

They go inside it. You'll do some working but it'll go. I break 4 or 5 tightners a season, not to mention the recabling at the same time. Once it's in there it ain't coming out, in one piece, so I just whack the pole just below, re-string, new tensioner and go on about my merry way. Pole gets shorter than what you want, pitch it and put a new one in action.

If you catch very many coyotes, stock up on tensioners, cable and end caps......

Wal-Mart has them in every store.
I use an 1/8 rivit to hold mine in the pvc pipe.I take the ring off and wala!!! the rivit hole is already there.
I just looked at one I haven't opened yet ....it says "line tightener".
I found that 3/16 plastic coated cable works the best...it won't kink after 3 or 4 catches. I only use it on yotes.

My chain never wears out. lol Here's how I build my poles...

If a big time buisnessman who depends on high quality poles, I'd buy a katch-all pole and write it off but that one works great for me and cost about nothing.
