Killed one here by the house a couple days ago.

They are thick as coyotes here.

They are pretty and painful only snake I have been bitten by

Nothing but corn snakes and the occasional black rat snake at my spread

Like a dumb %%% walking around at night with flip flops on and he hit me on my big toe when I stepped on him
Toe swelled up twice the size called my vet and he told me to double dose Benadryl and gave me some
CTC and called it good felt like you poured molten metal in it for a few hours

A few massasauga rattlers here and even fewer copperheads and timber rattlers. Lots of harmless snakes. Especially black snakes, ring necks and garters. River, creeks ponds have a water snake thats harmless though most swear its a cotton mouth.

Glad all we have here is the run of the mill garter snakes. The only cotton mouth I've ever heard of around here is after a hard night of partying.

If you ever pick up a copperhead, be careful they can stick their fangs out of the side of their mouth too. I was holding one and it surprised me that way. I didn't get stuck, but I was more careful afterwards.

CTC is Chlortetracycline is the type of antibiotic use it on Cattle and Deer works pretty good

If you wanna get a hair raising experience, walk outside on your porch and there’s a blue indigo snake 8 foot long sitting there l They are good snake though they eat rattlesnakes

Yes i always go to my local veterinarian for medical attention, especially snake bites, lol.

I hardly ever see snakes of any kind anymore since my eyesight got bad, just figured they disappeared due to climate change since that's killing the whole planet, lol.

It looks like you have small hands and little feet….

Not much they do for a copperhead bite
unless you start having an allergic reaction

Thanks. Unlike Jtrapper I prefer to do most of my own doctoring for anything that can be doctored at home, whether for dogs or people.

Vet sells me syringes filled with dexamethasone to keep on hand for snake bites.
