The MN House sought to pass a bill (HF 601) that would criminalize law abiding gun owners for not reporting a stolen firearm within a 48 hour period.
Thursday night, the "Safe Storage" bill (HF 4300) passed 68-64 after House Republicans tried to stop this radical left attack on our 2nd Amendment. This bill requires that your gun either be locked, or stored in a locked safe or gun room at all times. When seconds count this bill would increase reaction time in a moment of danger making our homes less safe.
These bills are in response to increased amount of shootings in the Twin Cities. Why don't they apply these bills to the liberal Twin Cities area where the criminals have more rights than law enforcement officers?
Most in this country have things people in other countries only dream about. Yet, they want America to be more like those other countries.

Your house/ car is your gun safe.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo
You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

... Why don't they apply these bills to the liberal Twin Cities area where the criminals have more rights than law enforcement officers? And how do you propose targeting a law to one neighborhood?

And how do you propose targeting a law to one neighborhood? The liberal New Mexico Governor did it for Albuquerque.

Do away with the safe zones and you would not have to leave them in your car! JMO

The bills will probably pass with the democrats controlling the house and the senate. Amend the bill to the metropolitan areas, the Twin Cities and democrat infested Duluth.

Since no law has ever reduced any crime they feel a need to double down rather than try something else.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

We are rural and several local law enforcement agencies claim they won't enforce it should it pass.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Unconstitutional laws are made to be ignored. Exactly. Why would anyone comply? Sheriff decides to not enforce unconstitutional laws
