You should've got the rattle. If I'd cut/saved those over the years I'd have enough to make a shirt.

That's what Festus does on Gunsmoke.....Gets them every time like that with his .45. Right in the head. Squints when he does it.

Osagian, It was mostly a slow aim, but rascal coiled when I approached.....Glock .40 went thru his back and head....then a couple more at the head to ensure.

La4 that looks like a pygmy rattler. Based on number of rattles and spotted tail good chance that’s an adult Pygmy. That does look like the Pygmy Rattlers we have up here.

Beautiful shepherd , the GW would have arrested you in Illinois those things are protected lol don’t know why Somebody dumped the shepard along the hwy near our town. He was emaciated. He is estimated to be only 2 years old, but has had heartworms most of his life...that have damaged his heart a little...according to the vet. He begins heartworm treatment in a few days. Wife and I named him Shep. That name must be close to his original name as he responds immediately. He is smart K9. He has had some basic obedience training. One word commands are known to him. He is easy to handle. Had a deputy friend, that had police K9s, take a look at him. Shep is familiar with German commands too. He will remain at my side if I tell him to and circle with me as I turn. When we walk..he stops frequently and looks back at me for commands. Loads and rides in pickup. Crate trained. Sits at ready to put on or take off harness. My wife rescues strays and abandoned dogs for re-homing....but I may keep this one. BTW, Georgia's six poisonous snake species have very little legal protection. But, all of our non-poisonous snake species are protected.
