I remember when the Germans were the big gray fox buyers. Like all good things that eventually went away.

2 of them are wolfers with shock springs and all welded swivels!!

I think they would pretty much chop one of the small ones in half!

A follow up of "grey" vs "gray." I think it sort of depends on how old English is as a language in your parts of the U.S. I think in places such as the East Coast and South, where many people are numerous generations, perhaps centuries, as Americans, "grey" is used a lot because that's the English came over in the 1600s and 1700s. In places such as South Dakota, where most people are from later 1800s German, Scandinavian, and maybe Czech or Dutch backgrounds, our few generations here have learned "gray" as the color when they starting writing English or were taught in school. That's my theory at least.

In my 60+ years on the planet, the most times I've heard that color called "grey" has been on trapperman wink

P.S. We don't have many "gray" or "grey" fox in South Dakota...

Patrapper I agree with your comments concerning were to find good set locations in PA They like the thick cover And I almost always caught them in the areas that are brushy or pine tree type cover Unlike the red which is more and open farmland predator I do recall however one time I had 3 fox sets where a farmer's water way contour diversion ditch connected to a tree line fence row I caught several reds there as I thought I would and than one morning I had a red /gray double The only time I ever had the good fortune to do that

New Mexico has a lot of them. Real pain for getting in cat sets
