I am a kansas resident and am heading to St. Louis this weekend. I know that Missouri is constitutional carry but am unsure if St. Louis has special laws. I do not have a concealed carry permit.

I concealed carried all over this country long before it was legal anywhere. Concealed no one knows and if your ever in a life or death situation I figured alive was better than dead and I would worry about the law after.

I agree with Danny, I don’t carry in Government buildings or where I have to go through a metal detector, but I have selective reading on all the other signs that say I can’t have a weapon. If it’s never needed then no one will ever know. If it’s needed I’ll face 12 instead of 6 after the fact.

I don't know what the law is in St. Louis but if you google it that should take you to one or more links that will break it down, that way you can make an informed decision about what you choose to do. If you plan on visiting the Arch, if they haven't taken them out, you have to pass through metal detectors there.

Probably best to stay legal.

A guy spent 10's of thousands and it took a year to be found innocent. The cost and the stress for a whole year, I'm not so sure. Lol

Marty, load a million dollars plus worth of computers at the port of Los Angeles and haul it to Baltimore. Load 22 tons of boxed beef or swinging sides and go to Chicago or hunts point in the Bronx. Head to ADM in Memphis to get cotton seed pellets or fuel coke in Detroit and then tell me its best to be unarmed.

Even then depending on the place there are ways to walk right through detectors armed. But it depends on the place and how thorough they are.

You can care in St Louis with an Indiana permit. I wkak past any no gun signs when there. The exception to that was the arch. When I opened the door and asked frin outside if they had any place to secure my firearm they went to I was a threat mode brain dead because they asked if I had a gun and their posture changed instantly. They said no place to secure my gun I let the door shut and found something else to do.

I been avoiding this one. Cardinal game park at ballpark village no metal items St. Louis zoo is not an issue if you park in their lots no firearms .always take 40-61 after dark not hwy 70. The fox theater is cool. Lot of history. Had to take my knife back to my wife’s car a while ago I got a permit and carry but those places have it covered. Grants Farm is cool if you got kids Just pay the bucks for parking and have a good time. Again avoid highway 70 after dark. Take 40 -61

I thought a no guns sign in Missouri was a legal restriction/crime to carry past?

I usually tell people "if I'm not drinking, I'm packing ".
I do occasionally head South of the border to Illinois to play better golf courses, but I have killed enough coons with an old driver that I don't feel totally unarmed.

Even armed, I would stay out of East St. Louis. It is probably the most crime-riddled area in the USA

Self defense is not without risk.

We go to St Louis once ever 4-6 weeks. We enjoy eating Italian at “The Hill”. I carry everywhere with exception of Busch Stadium.

I have my permit although not needed.
