Turkeys are gonna do what turkeys do regardless of weather. It’s hunters who change things up, lol.
I can’t stand a blind for turkey hunting, I’d rather sit in waste deep water when it’s 50 degrees and call to one.
Only thing a turkey changes up is they’ll head for a more open area for visual purposes vs hearing purposes. Once that wind starts blowing they’ll definitely be in the open.

I think rain affects hunters alot more than turkeys.
They live outside.
That said hunt the fields.
Rain in the woods is noisy. Rain also if vegetation is leafed out creates lots of movement when it strikes the leaves.
Turkey’s defense is their sight and hearing.
With the above 2 mentioned things going on from rain they are vulnerable to predators.
That’s why they are in fields in the rain.

Hunted the Black Hills years ago during several rainy days seen birds but they were real quiet, the last morning no rain so we went out to where we had seen birds a few days earlier. They fired up responded to calling then it started to rain again and nothing.

WI the first season this year was wet we worked a Tom about 80 yards away that responded but never made any attempts to crest the hill between us. I think it being wet will often shut them down from what I’ve seen over the years.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!
