anyone every use this product for killing grass? It is about 1/3 the price of Roundup and what I have researched it seems to do what is says it does. I was just wondering if there is some firsthand experience with the product.

Thank You.

I have used it a couple years on Stinging Nettles. It has worked fairly well on killing back the plants but I really don't think it gets down to the roots, as again this year I have a bumper crop, even more than usual. I understand it may be a seed bank issue.

I was also attracted to it by the price and they even have the nifty "spray wand". I may be back to it again because if I can get ahead of the nettles by constant application when they appear I may be able to beat them.

I have no experience with it on grass.

Good luck!

As with most chemicals is the content diluted or is strength comparable ? Important to compare apples to apples.

I have used it and performance is comparable or better then Name Brand.

I have used this the last couple of years. Also, attracted by the price difference compared to Roundup. My experience is that I get about the same results as using Roundup.

As with most herbicides all that really matters is active ingredient percentage and cost. Spectracide is mostly labelled for home consumption small uses. It is a brand. Check what the active ingredient is and the percentage is and then compare costs. Roundup is a glyphosate product sold under different active ingredient percentages as well. Many many cheaper alternative are available for glyphosate chemicals which all do the same thing as round-up branded products such as ranger pro, glyphosate 5.4. Most of your little hardware stores and box stores will not have a 2.5 gallon of concentrate - you will need to check ag supply or even order online.

glystar and buccanner are more names that utilize glyphosate herbicide - remember they will kill all and not just weeds - but good thing is you can plant quickly and not usually long residual unless other herbicides also in mix as an active ingredient
