Called for killing frost between 12:00 a.m. and 10:am so im out watering my 3rd yr white peach tree to warm it up as its only bearing 3 yrs and had more blooms than ever. White peaches have a hard time in my climate....its about 30 degrees now.

Watering is feasable. I can direct the 55 degree water where I want it and 20 or so feet up also. Temp is now 28 and roof and car are iced with frost.

I just watered again and there were ice balls from the last watering 10-15 min ago. The theory is the ice helps insulate it...hmmm...a few days will tell. Thx for the tip wright brothers...will try to keep some around for future needs.

No worries if they do not fruit one year you will have a great year next year. They might even make it - good luck.

last yr they were killed by frost....this yr was looking super promising. White peaches were from Ga. originally. Survived 3 frost this yr before now. Had its 30 yr old predcessor killed by frost.

Soft mast did well here last year but no hard mast.
Pretty sure I am South of youns.

Hey is there such a thing as DWARF peach trees that make fruit?
I almost bought a pair but noticed flowering only.
I don't do flowers.

My biL put a sprinkler on one a few years ago and fell asleep. The next morning the whole tree was broken up from the ice. Lol
