When your hometown is featured on an archeology video, lol.

Heck, I've bought guns at Bank and Pawn and shopped at Long-Lewis Hardware. Long-Lewis morphed into the big Ford dealership on the other side of town but kept the hardware store going into the eighties.

That's one way to tell your age.

I thought it was bad when my first cell phone was in the local museum, but having an archeological dig in you childhood home is way worse. lol

Is it bad If I still keep a dime in my pocket, just in case I need to call home?

My dad used to always say someday an archaeological dig on our farm would reveal a rich trove of his tools that I left out around the place and got lost.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Our old homeplace in WV had a hidden room in the back. It was used in the underground to get slaves into the north.

God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

In 1980, I researched old maps and books from the 1890's and found a long lost mine; the Minnecaduca mine in King County, WA. I ended up finding the mine.

While in the old mine I used my carbide lamp to write my name and date on the mine wall. In recent years a mine exploation club also rediscovered the old mine.

This mine is on Federal land and there are laws that protect archaeological artifacts, anything over fifty years old is considered of cultural significance and is protected.

In only 6 more years, my signature on that wall will be like a petroglyph, and be considered of cultural significance and therefore protected.

My grandparents had a fake drain in their basement where they hid moonshine they made.

Must be nice to eat ice cream as fast as you want and not have to worry about brain freeze.
