One of my old bait tanks gave up the ghost last week. Decided to make a couple new ones with 100 gallons more water capacity than the old ones. The new ones hold 250 gallons which should let me load the tanks with a lot of perch, creek chubs, suckers, and blue gill. Made a biofillter system for them along with a venturi system that adds air to the water and a little current. Still working on adding black lights to the tanks along the top edge to attract bugs to feed the bait. Don’t know if that will work or not but when we fish at night those lights attract more bugs than regular lights. Aught to work in my simple hillbilly mind. [Linked Image]

Looks like oughta work. Hard to beat hillbilly ingenuity.

looks like a nice bait setup to me

only thing I wonder is how long the particle board lasts in that environment but the price was probably right and it will work for now

I would be on the look out for some treated 2x10s or wire shelving.
