Wolfdog91 OP trapper Joined: Jul 2013 Posts: 11,928 Amite county Mississippi	Thought this was neat. Seems to work pretty well as he catches a lot of monsters with this. Said ty use this they of stuff for marlin a lot salt water side and reminds of the hair rigs they use all for carp. When I fish for them on purpose I open the bail once they pick up the bait and wait for them come to a stop and watch for the line to twitch and then remain still for a bit, then wait for it to slowly swim off. No need to set the hook. It's in his gullet.

Mike Cope trapper M Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,812 Beaman Iowa 55	If we use Jigs baited with night crawlers fishing for bullheads they swallow the hook much less often. It may help with your hook issues.
