I've always bought flake wax for making waxed sand this year I bought 2 10 pound blocks from hobby lobby. We I've tried the plane, cheese grader and the best I've found is a auger bit in a drill

Has any one tried just melting it and trickle it into a cement mixer as it turns the sand

Thanks

I've been doing it that way for several years. Melt your wax in a double boiler to help prevent scorching.
heat up your sand or dirt and then add the wax, mix until cool enough that it won't stick together. I use a cheap cement mixer from HF and a weed burner to heat things up.
