Just heard on TV the USDA says they are edible. Fry roast or dip in chocolate. A warning though .... If you have a fish allergy know they are related to shrimp--weird huh just

They are, my chickens loved them! The last time they were active my granddaughter and I caught dozens with the intention of preparing and eating them. The wife was not happy, wasn't having any of that going on in her kitchen. We ended up dumping them into the chicken enclosure. It was a melee, the chickens went into a feeding frenzy and devoured six or seven dozen cicadas in a few minutes.
Eh...wot?

Was told a few weeks ago by our state rep that Tyson Foods has invested in edible bugs as the dems are trying to outlaw meat. My opinion is when meat is outlaw, only outlaws will eat meat.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
