Muskrat OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 5,476 Wisconsin	We leave the suet bricks up every spring 'til they're gone then dismantle the feeding station. First year ever we've had a robin come in several times a day.

This feeder is stuffed with bacon grease we keep frozen in peanut butter jars. Once it gets warm enough for the grease to melt and start dripping out we discontinue feeding birds. Figure they can find enough food on their own by now. A smear of bacon grease on top the DP or smeared on a rock/log/stump etc is a good 'coon attractant. Needless to say . . . I've got quite a few of these peanut butter jars tucked in the fur freezer for (hopefully) a future river 'coon line again.
