Awright...took a stroll around the yard and found that we are under a serious invasion of Stinging Nettles. We have had a lot of them in the past and I have killed them back using Spectracide, which purportedly killed the roots. May have worked initially but the roots must still be there and quite healthy. They are back with a vengeance.
Can anyone recommend an herbicide that I can get locally at Farm and Fleet or Menards? The plants are still very small and I would like to get them soon.

Pull them out by hand...that's the organic way! LOL
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Has anyone tried a "Steam Cleaner" on them? It works great for Tansy. It takes several applications but it is cheap and eco friendly. Mostly cheap is why I do it.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Stinging nettle is a powerful bush medecine with a lot of uses. You can handle them as long as you handle them agressively,do NOT handle them gently or you will be sorry.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Invite someone over you don't really care for. Make sure they have shorts and sleeveless shirts on. Trick them into walking through them. Sting weed is the man reason I wear long sleeves while seng digging.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

There annuals. But they produce alot of seeds . You can spray but you probably have a tremendous seed bank. Goats are the answer. That's a good idea.

The irony of this is that I wish I had more of them. They are good to eat. Your neighbors would probably be happy to give you theirs
