Kennebec are good but I love Yukon gold. The missus talked me into trying those. I sold on them and love them. But the kennebecs are just a good all around all purpose cooking spud that stores well if left in the ground. Down here due to our heat it's either leave in the ground and dig as needed or set up a freezer on a thermocouple. I could dig a pit and store them under dirt but that's digging them twice. The golds don't store as long or fry up as well. But they got better flavor.

I’m jealous folks……middle of a blizzard here. Still lots of ice on lake. Sitting in front of fire wishing I was even close to planting potatoes.

Planted mine on Sunday all Yukon golds they don’t keep the best but grow excellent in my soil and taste great
