A co worker brought me a bunch and I’ve never had them. How do you all prepare them? Thanks!

Use like you would green onions or chives.Dice and throw in salad,,or fry them up with something.

Chop em and mix in a skillet of fried tators

I like to dehydrate them and then grind them and use them like garlic powder. I use "Leek Powder" in just about anything that would normally take garlic or onions.

Plus then I get to use it all year

Cut the bottoms off and put them in a jar of pickle juice for a week or so in the fridge

X2 My grandfather put garlic cloves and leeks in olive oil in a jar and kept it in the frig.He would pop one of each in his mouth everyday.

I been doing that for years also.I pickle a bunch too.

My wife always makes ham, potatoes and ramp soup with the first ones of the year.
I love them mixed with soft cheese and eaten on a cracker. Hundreds of ways to enjoy them

I may ramp butter and then use that to grill on steaks, burgers etc. You can also mix with some cream cheese for some good Jersey Bagels. Among many other uses.

That how i first ate them,Open a jar @ hunting camp and 1 or 2 hours later its gone.
Of course a few beers to wash them down.

Clean and wash bulbs, stems, and greens. Dice all of the ramps up. Heat a cast iron pan with olive oil,salt, and pepper. Sautee very good like regular greens.

Set up a stand and sell them??

Are they concrete or wood? I guess it depends what’s wrong with them.

We have a local “ organic “ food store here .
My friend trades them off for other groceries
Pick ramps for a day and come home with milk and bread !
