I hate padded traps, only time I have ever had significant foot damage. That was with a MB 550 padded trap. Only bought 6 of them because of the requirement in WA State.

Do you have a lot or a little to do? I like the JC conner pads on my victors, but they do require some trimming.

I've not used them on coyotes. Used extensively on MB750-Wolf and on LPCs. Only time I ever had extensive foot damage on wolves. I quit using them, had all padded jaws replaced with steel. No more problems. I agree with Machias.

The lamination may cause you some attachment issues as most rubber jaw kits fit on the outside flat side of the jaw...going to be interesting.
So my advice is go buy some Jake Traps.

Way back when I started trapping (late 90's), bought a dozen #3 victors; supposedly more fur friendly? I had more leg damage than with any trap I have used since. But if that's what you have to use, maybe there has been improvements made.

What happens to the rubber on the jaws when you dip them into hot wax when waxing?
