If I wire off from a cinder block will it hold a coon from dragging it off?

20 years ago I set a Colvert pile loaded with coon tracks it was a hwy. I couldn't steak the trap in the steel pipl and the sand would not hold so wired it off to a 12" block that was there. Had a 3x sal the next morning and she drug that block 25 yards and there was a 5' wide area she went back and forth pulling that had zero river cane left and looked plowed up. Yes it was sand but I was impressed. I was going to let her go but didn't have a catch stick. Her bad mood is how I know she went 3x.
The will work as a drag but I try not to use them having seen several break easily. Figured I don't want to loose my traps.
In the above case the Colvert was 4' and I used the lock to block part it it off and fence them over to my trap

I use blocks around ponds for coon, and have yet to have one dragged off, usually the coon is waiting for me with it's head stuffed into one of the holes, fast asleep. Can't say the coon were especially large tho.

If I wire off from a cinder block will it hold a coon from dragging it off? Using DPs or regular footholds? If regular footholds....need to consider a non-target such as a big coyote or bcat getting in it. Always anchor for the biggest possible critter.
