I watch some of these videos on Internet of someone doing their hack. Making a pop can into a wind mill. Some are just stupid long way of making something. Some I think my mom showed me that 50 years ago. Others is like dang why didn't I do that.

Anyways I thought ok what can I share here that I do that someone else might find handy. Just didn't think to do hasn't seen yet?
I know like myself many here now use the nitrile gloves from Harbor freight for multiple tasks. Is a whole long story how I first started using gloves. First ones were latex milking gloves from F&F. Now that I do nitrile I find them just so handy for so many things. I have them stashed in lots of places where can just grab a pair.
Original I just threw a box in truck or put a few in a ziplock bag. Even the whole box in big ziplock. That worked ok but eventually the bag would get ratty. Zip would fail on bag box fell apart or got wet. Then one day the light came on and I did as pictured below.
I now have plastic jars of gloves stashed in place of the Ziploc bags. This one with gloves is a miracle whip jar the other is jelly jar from wife feeding Orioles.
Really works well I wish they would put hand wipes in a more solid container like these.

Good one... Mice like to deposit materials in any box I leave in the shed.

probably makes the gloves last longer that way, when I take them out of an open box the top glove always rips....

Craft sticks (popsicle sticks) are great for scooping out bait for canine sets. I bought them at garage sales for next to nothing. I have probably over 1000+ that will
last me a life time. Throw a handful in a zip-lock bag and put them in with your bait and lure. Will not break.

Guy can probably get a dozen or more in a pill bottle this size. Easy to stick in back pack or tool box in the boat glove box in car. Big thing for me was always keeping the somewhat clean and mainly dry.

The countertop mayonnaise jar. Done this for years.

On my countertop is an empty mayonnaise jar. When I'm done for the day any odd assorted hardware in my pockets goes in the jar. Instead of putting away a few odds and ends everytime I am done , I wait until the jar has a bunch , then I put it away.

Easier , less hassle.

Keep my 22 loads in a pill bottle with a couple of the silica packs to draw moisture. Eric

Pinch a piece of reflective material in a clothes pin. Quick and easy for marking trails and/or sets you need to look for in the dark.

A length of 9 gauge wire inserted into colony trap doors add stability to keep big mink from blowing 'em out backwards. Also keeps the upstream door from swinging up if a couple leaves lodge against it in current.

11 gauge in this one, not as heavy, but functioned the same.

When setting #3 4 coils I do the old over knee set, then take the loose jaws and pull it against my knee as I push on the dog jaw, make them much easier to set! Try it, you'll like it

If you dont like gauntlets that are connected, use rubber bands to help keep your gauntlets from slipping down your arms

A fanny pack is not only stylish but a functional bait holder for coon trapping. I keep it full of cat food when running dogproofs. Saves lugging around a container and forgetting it at sets. Mine is camo so it doesn't look so bad...

Use an old turkey vest on the beaver or snare line. Just remove the seat cushion.

For DP caps to keep mice out:

Cut Sch40 3/4" pvc pipe into 1.75" lengths. Glue a 3/4" end cap on one end. Sch40 is thicker and less apt to be chewed up.

The 3/4" pipe will fit into the DP, but the cap won't....it'll sit on top of the trap's lip.. Coon can easily flip it off.

Can also prebait the DPs at home and put the cap in the partially depressed trap...spring clasp will hold it in place....and cap keeps bait from spilling out. When at set location...compress spring rest of way and set....leaving cap in trap mouth.

Don't forget to anchor.
