What's your opinion on the Bridger no.5 dogless compared to the dog on for beaver? Any easier to set? Any info. appreciated.

I have not gotten to trap with one yet but I can tell you its easier t set than the dog on trap. I know trappers, who's opinion I trust, that use them and like them a lot for beaver..Im looking forward to using them

Great trap and it is stout....like any new tool it'll take you a bit to get a handle on it.

I haven't used the B5 dogless. But I do like that pan setup. I have several dozen of the B2 dogless. Pan is simple to adjust for tension and level.

My only concern for the B5 dogless is the pan appears too large for my liking. I'm partial to a smaller pan to jaw spread ratio for beaver to lessen low-on-the foot catches.
