I don’t target coyotes with them but I have definantly held a dozen or so in them over the last couple of years. As far as strictly setting them for coyotes I would think they needed a little bit of modifying. Base plates and bubble tipped jaws in particular. Then again, with my experience none of that was necessary.

will hold em. not an ideal yote trap. the victor 4x4 1.75 are built better to withstand the abuse of k9s.

Yup, they'll catch and hold a yote. Catch enough and you will learn their weaknesses. I doubt a yote will be running off with your traps, but they may leave it in pieces for you to put back together with some modifications.

I use 1.75 Victor off set jaw with lamination, center swivel with a shock spring to take out a lot of the energy when the yote fights the trap. I don't catch many yotes, but have not had misses or pullouts when caught. At my age (76) I am not changing the setup.

I just put new springs on 8 dozen victor 1.75 . I use to use them exclusively for fox and coyotes. Center swiveled ,short chained ,3 inline swivels and double staked. ( Sandy soil ) I never lost a coyote with these traps. As years progressed the MB 550 became my new favorite.
