I asked that question a while back. I'm being driven out of my property by development after 35 years. Estate sale? Auction? Craigslist/Facebook? I decided upon the best of all worlds. On-line Auction: The company does most or all of: - set-up
- photographing
- advertising
- collecting[*crowd control
- loading
My add has been up only for a couple hours, and most things already have minimum bids. Maybe not much money, but, toward the end the real bids come in, and I won't have to deal with disposal.

My advice is don't dwell on what each item brought, only the total at the end. If you get hung up on "the shovel only brought $3" you will give yourself an ulcer. Pick a REALISTIC total and just go off that.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Lets have a link to the sale then.
Here you go. Reference only. There is a "No Advertsing" rule which may apply. Bid2Buy

Wow you have a lot of stuff. Good luck! But I’m afraid you have TOO much fir online. I started scrolling but it just goes on and on. Why didn’t you list your trapping stuff here? If that auction was on site here you would be looking a million plus! People that are able to look and hear that auctioneer always over bid on things like that

I'm with warrior, how are you being driven out? Hope you just mean things are getting too crowded and you chose to relocate?
Hope you make all you need off of the auction I hope it goes well for you also. driven out is ...losing solitude

Certainly the most efficient way to handle it. You’re going to win on some items and feel beat up on some things. But end result is going to be something you can live with !
Wish I had never glanced at the site. Now I will probably be driving the price up on several items !

"Driven out": Kinda like 330 says, loosing solitude. While I have no guns at my head, I refuse to stay on my little plot of land with 600+ new housing units surrounding me. With an "offer you can't refuse" from a developer, an escape from Hennepin county Minnesota made perfect sense.
As a former real estate appraiser I can tell you there is a principal of "Highest and Best Use of Land". A plot of land surrounded on two sides by Park Reserve, and the other two sides by Yuppie homes is not the Highest and Best Use.

I left Hennepin Co. in 1984 at 18years old moved 12 times .have spent 26 years here in Pine County. But we're feeling hemmed in here too!

...I’m afraid you have TOO much fir online. I started scrolling but it just goes on and on. There is a search bar on the opening screen. a menu symbol followed by "All","Active"... By tapping the menu button you will see categories you can select

...IMO a good way to unload you stuff so your kids don’t have to deal with it. And, boy, were they happy to hear about it.

. My parents had an estate sale where the auction company took care of everything. It was easy but the check he got at the end was disappointing.. My motivation is much more about getting rid of stuff than making money. Renting dumpsters cost money, too.
