So my daughter got a new puppy not too long ago, well Sunday evening she was carrying her to take her outside to play and the puppy rolled out of her arm and crashed on the hardwood floor. Wife took her to the vet yesterday, she has a broken shoulder and broken leg. Leg wasn't bad but shoulder was in her growth plate and the vet didn't like it where it was. So they gave us 3 options. 1. Orthopedic surgery to put a pin in place.. I can't afford that, 2. Amputation of they leg, this is what they pushed for. 3. Cast it, they said it won't heal right and she will have a gimp. This doesn't matter since she is house dog. Well my wife is the type we have to save her leg, so she chose to cast it.. she told the vet she had to try and save it, so they cast it and we will know in 6 weeks if it's healing enough to save it. They gave her some meds and told us to keep her off it, clean, and dry.. so we have a new born in the house. She lives a play pen, doped up and wife puts diapers on her. Wake up ever so often to change her.. when It rains it pours here ...... [Linked Image]

Dang. Hope the pup heals up okay. And hope your daughter is okay - I imagine she feels pretty bad about it even though it wasn't her fault.

She was upset at 1st.. started puking her emotions were high. When the dog yelps and the leg just flops I figure it was broke or dislocated, I was hoping dislocated
